Jo Anne LamunJO ANNE LAMUN (Producer/Director)

(B.S. Northwestern University, M.A. University of Colorado) is producer and director of the Peanut Butter Players. She is the author of twelve children’s musicals and has spent her professional career working in theatre.  She directs all the group’s performances,  summer, holiday and Lunch Bunch, as well as teaching in the Boulder Valley Schools. Nominated in 1999 as a Pacesetter in the Arts by the Boulder Daily Camera, she is also a Channel 7 Everyday Hero, recognized for her volunteer efforts for the Peanut Butter Players.  While she is proud of her “success stories” of young people who have gone to both Broadway and Hollywood to pursue careers in the arts, she is most rewarded by the thousands of young people who have gained self-esteem and confidence by feeling the thrill of applause through performance.



DON WAGNER (Musical Director)

(BA Cincinnati Bible College) is musical director of all PBP productions and summer camps. He teaches private voice and piano lessons, accompanies the Loveland Choral Society and other local groups.  He is a valued accompanist at the Candlelight Dinner Theater, Jester’s Dinner Theatre, the Arvada Center and others.





Thailia_BurdTHALIA BURD  (Drama Director, Summer Day Camps)

Thalia Burd is the Vocal Music and Theater director at Holy Family High School, where she teaches both choir and drama classes. Mrs. Burd also directs the Fall Play and Spring Musical and moderates several clubs including Tri-M Music Honor Society, International Thespian Society, Liturgy Music Club, and Comedy Improv Club. Mrs. Burd holds degrees from The University of Colorado at Boulder (BM, Voice Theater Performance) and Colorado State University (MM, Music Education and Conducting). She began her career teaching music at Sacred Heart of Jesus School in 2008. In addition, Mrs. Burd has worked with Fort Collins Children’s Theater, Rocky Mountain Theater for Kids, Colorado Light Opera, Up in Lights Productions, Jesters Dinner Theater, and Openstage Theatre.



MARY BOUGHTON (Costume Designer, Dance Director, Summer Day Camps)

Mary is a recently retired elementary school teacher, teaching for almost 35 years in Colorado.  She began dancing at age 5, and has danced in some form ever since.  She taught tap, jazz and ballet at a local dance studio in Broomfield for six years, and operated a free dance studio out of her elementary school for eight years. Mary believes that dance creates poise, confidence and teamwork. She is the head costumer for PBP and the creator of costumes for Lunch Bunch shows as well as summer productions of  Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, Seussical.  She designs and makes quilts and is the proud owner of 13 sewing machines – all of which she uses!



DORINDA DERCAR (Voice teacher)

Dorinda Dercar has a BA in Music Education, an MA in Vocal Performance, and has taught for 30+ years in New York, New Jersey, and Boulder.  A member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), Dorinda teaches Musical Theater, Classical, Pop, Rock, Belt, Legit and Speech Level Singing.  Dorinda also works as a film and stage actor with a lifetime of professional performance experience in opera, theater and musical theater (Off Broadway in NYC, and in Denver), rock bands, choir singing, film, TV, choreography, and directing.  Dorinda is fluent in many forms of dance, and still works as a professional Tap Dancer.

She has taught many people who have gone on to become professional singers and actors.  Some of her former students include Jessica Biel, Ace Young (American Idol), Julia Johanos (Arvada Center and theaters all over the USA), Katie Bland (original Off Broadway cast of Voca People),  Kimberly Hannon (the Broadway musicals Tommy, Gypsy, Cosette in Les Miserables),   Tera Lee Pollin (Nat’l tour of Mama Mia)Brian Cronan, Matt Peters(Boulder’s Dinner Theater).  She coached Hilary Cruz to become Miss Teen Colorado, then Miss Teen USA. She loves the delight that her students express when they accomplish what they once thought impossible. or
